What Wedding Planners Do...

1) Wedding planners are first and foremost consultants on everything weddings. They will work with you to fulfill your vision for they day, and they'll come up with creative solutions to make it happen on a budget.

2) They act as your representative in the scary world of vendors. They know vendors in a way you can't; not only their reputations for quality or timelines, but if there's any bad blood between vendors you're intersted in. They will negotiate with vendors on your behalf in order to get the best possible value, which may not necessarily be the lowest price. Often vendors are more willing to throw in extras for the same low price rather than lower their price.

3) They are supreme organizers. A wedding planner will prepare an itinerary for you, and will keep you on track. Planners know when things need to be done, so they'll never let you fall behind.

4) Many planners are able to help you with whatever wedding you envision.

5) Wedding Planners have financial skills to kee you on a budget. So when they call that meeting about how you're about to go drastically and irrevocably over budget, listen to them.

6) Many Wedding Planners say they find themselves acting as therapists from time to time. When the pressure of competing interests or difficult decisions builds up, they become a shoulder to cry on.

7) Often, they're marriage counselors too. They've seen enough weddings to know the emotions and arguments involved. They wil help you to put these in perspective and see the real focus of the wedding and each other.

8) On they day of the wedding, Wedding Planners are your on-site ringmaser and problem-solver, making sure everything runs smoothly, and if it doesn't, that you don't have to deal with it.

9) They're discreet. Don't worry, your mother will never know what you said about her in a fit of rage!

10) However, few will act as your taxi service, courier service, bouncer or bank. They aren't avaliable all hours of they day , they can't accompany you to every appointment.
